最近因為要寫作業,研究了幾個一直都覺得很屌的作品。
好想去親眼看看哪~~
下面是自己整理的,不過因為參考書都是英文,
希望自己的理解不要出ㄘㄟˊ才好,

在James Turrell的作品中可以明顯的看出視覺與裝置明顯的關聯。他專注於燈光與空間的設置,他的展覽定義空間的表面並非是實際存在著的實體,通常都是光線所產生的可被察覺到的界線。可被看見的光線經由投射到空間中又產生另外一個空間感與可以被穿過的partition架構。the artificially lit room, light play the role at the boundary。另外,藉著觀眾的參與達到,在光源變化時人所參與的各種互動,更能強烈的展現出光線可以塑造出一個觀眾所認為的假空間。『you can put your hand into it. You can even see, standing out against the haze of illumination that moves from mauve through to pink, evidence of some earlier investigator who took it into his head to climb into the illusion, leaving his footprints in the otherwise spotless, space less interior.』這個假空間,不是一個實際的object,但是又明顯的被觀眾察覺,接收,成為感官經驗的一部份,帶領觀眾進入一個虛幻亦真實的空間。
“The timelessness and fascination surrounding his work are mainly due to the fact that Turrell succeeds in allowing us to experience light directly as a form of reality, without the use of symbolism or pictorial representation.”

There is an unusual instance of James Turrell’s work. In his production, we can aware of the connection between the senses of sight and the affect of installation. He is concentrated on the set of lighting and space. The space definition of the exhibition is that visible light create surface and boundary in order to demarcate the space, it is not a substantial object. Visible light become the framework of partition through projecting to air, it produce the aware deceivability to the audience. The artificially lit room, light plays the role at the boundary. Furthermore, by means of participating in the display by people, the interaction can influence the position of light, and the light can sculpture a “fake space” to audience to show the property of metamorphose. 『you can put your hand into it. Even to feel it and try to touch it. The device brings the audience into the visionary space and presents a seeming vision.
很明顯的,光的語彙在建築上所呈現的反應很精采又充滿力量,安藤忠雄的十字架教堂就是經典的代表作品。在光的教堂中,建築師以單色調,簡單又樸素的清水模作為整體建築的主要材質,在背牆的地方挖出一個十字開口,白天的時候,陽光會經過十字開孔穿入漆黑的長方盒型建築,然後投射到內部空間的主要聽講堂裡,隨著時間的轉移,與地面或天花板都形成細長型的散射交錯十字圖案,給心靈的感受是神聖、平靜又典雅的。地面所鋪的質感是略顯天然及粗糙,而因為十字開口的細又狹長形狀,有限的空間開口在黑暗的襯托之下成了強烈對比,十字開口處的光線是純粹、明亮且充滿力量的,透射進來後光線被投射時的型態是迷離、空靈卻寧靜的。光線所形成的十字圖案充滿故事性,實體的空間感極為樸素,但經由陽光的潤色之後又豐富起來,光線成功的連結了室內外環境,完全達到了他想創造的『自然將會觸手可及』的境界。

Apparently, the light language is splendid and powerful when it reflects itself to architecture. The example of Tadao Ando’s Church of the light is a classic work which represents the effect of light combining with the building. He uses simple monochromatic grey as the main colour and large number of as-cast concrete to be the main part of the structure. There is a crisscross aperture in the back wall of the architecture. The sunshine will lead itself into inner space which is a black rectangle through the aperture at daytime. More than that, the light will reflect to reach the altar and lecture room. Alone with the time goes by, the crisscross shadow will move and project to the ceiling and ground. The atmosphere is holy, peace and classic, in contrast, the ground textile is rough but naturally. Because of the aperture is narrow and slender, when the light project to the ground, brilliant sharp becomes a strong contrast to the murky background. Therefore, as the light is in the position of projecting, the pattern become misted, empty but peaceful while interior environment is gloomy. Cross pattern that made by the light tells of stories, the entity in space is extremely simple, but getting abundant after the polishing of the sunshine. The light connects interior and exterior completely in this case, the design reach the Ando’s realm which is “nature is at arm's length”.
